The easiest SVCD guide in the world!!!
Why did you make this walkthrough?
Because I get A LOT of impatient kids who want to know everything now
and not want to read through a million pages of encoding guides. This way
they can look at the pictures and not read a thing.
Why is it so basic?
Because the easier it is, the less e-mail I'll get.
Why don't you teach the CBR 1 pass fast method?
Cause CBR is crap and lots of flaws and errors occur, dont need the headache.
But it is faster encoding it, but not worth it quality wise.
Can you stop talking to yourself and get to the guide?
Ok brat, here goes.....
5 Steps to making the best SVCD you possibly can.
1. Step One (Coping the Files you need to your Hard Drive)
2. Step Two (Extracting Audio/Video from the VOB files)
3a. Step Three A (Decoding Widescreen or Fullscreen Progressive)
3b. Step Three B (Decoding Fullscreen Interlaced)
4. Step Four (Cutting your final MPG)
5. Step Five (Creating the perfect SVCD)
Sample to see if your 16:9 movie was a good SVCD. Here.
Ok, there is a lot of debate on settings, quality... so forth... so don't e-mail me
These settings are top of the line and easy to do for the basic beginner, after
you become more familiar with SVCD you'll learn how to tweek settings and
do other things like inverse telecine or using harder encoders like CCE. This guide
is basically for newbie who want to start learning and make an awsome SVCD.
Enjoy.
