How To Use DVD2AVI
Load up DVD2AVI.
File Menu (at the top) and click on the first VOB file (vts_01_1.vob),
the rest will load up automatically.
Place these settings in Video.
If its a fullscreen interlaced movie select none, everything else select Forced Film.
(Overseas) PAL format at 25fps DOES NOT need forced film.
Place these settings in Audio.
Options is up to you, but normal wont lag your PC to much, High will finish faster.
MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS CHECKED LIKE THE SCREENSHOTS!
Next hit F5 and view the movie rip was good and to view it's settings.
Next to the movie you will see the above window pull up. If its a Widescreen movie and has the
black bars, view to see if its 4:3 or 16:9 (this is a must to remember for each movie or else your
aspect ratio will be off). All fullscreens will be 4:3. Another thing to view if your movie is fullscreen
is the frame type. If it progressive then your ok, if its interlaced then you need to deinterlace it
in the next step.
Two types of movie catagories: 1. Widescreen and Fullscreen Progressive
2.Fullscreen Interlaced
Remember the Ratio and Frame Type for next step.
Next Click File Menu then Stop, to stop the movie from playing.
Click File Menu and Save Project (below).
Click Save to start saving.
This will save a d2v file and a wav file.
Pending on CPU speed this process take about 45 minutes to an hour. The Finish will display
(above) when done. (Again Remember ASPECT RATIO!!!)
WS=Widescreen FS=Fullscreen
Proceed to Step 3 WS or FS Progressive
Proceed to Step 3 FS Interlaced
